Hugh Feeny

Hugh is originally from Mirfield. He attended local schools, Knowle First School, Battyeford Middle School, and Mirfield High School, including sixth form. Post-GCSEs and A levels, he completed a BTEC in Motor Vehicle Engineering at Wakefield College. Subsequently, he gained hands-on experience at Cottage Cars on Old Bank Road, Mirfield, working closely with the workshop foreman, Richard Mackwell. He also worked at the owner's other garage, Bridge Garage, located on Huddersfield Road in Mirfield where he met Mandy his wife.

In 1995, with the change in ownership at Cottage Cars, Richard and Hugh decided to establish their venture, RPM Auto Service Centre. Initially based on Union Road in Liversedge next to Autopaint, they swiftly expanded prompting a move to larger premises on Ashton Clough Road in Liversedge three years later.

The success of RPM Auto Service Centre led to further growth, culminating in a search for more expansive premises with space for an onsite MOT bay. In 2009, they relocated to Walkley Lane in Heckmondwike, officially opening their MOT bay in 2010. The business has continued to grow and expand including the addition of bodywork and diagnostic bays.

Hugh lives near Wakefield with his wife Mandy and has 2 daughters, the elder of which worked in reception for many years, before leaving to retrain as a hairdresser.
